So guess who came to church on Sunday?! The lady we tracted into; Chen Jie Mei. She is way cool. In the middle of RS she left though. She whispered something to Sister Carlson ... but she didn’t understand so we didn’t know where she went. We looked out the window and she took her grandson from the primary and we saw her walking home ... my heart dropped. But MIRACLE! She came back! She came 1/2 way through Sunday school. She just took her grandson home.
We went tracting again yesterday. And again after being rejected a lot, we got let in to this house - a family of 5. Li Jia Ting. We only talked to the parents though. They were not interested in learning a lot about the gospel (yet) but they were totally interested in free English classes! They asked a lot of questions about our lives before missions and as missionaries. It was really hard to bring things all back to Jesus Christ. But we were able to share a little bit. And they gave us coke.
There is a lady in the ward who has the missionaries over for dinner every Sunday. So we went to her house for dinner. We had, duck, taro, mixed veggies, fish (lots of fish), egg tofu, dragon fruit and pineapple. :) Super good!
The members are very accepting and supportive. I feel so loved and like I am at home. I absolutely love it here!
It has been constantly raining since I got here. I need to get a rain poncho... people think I am crazy for not wearing a poncho but it is a good convo starter! It is colder here than 北屯.
I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love this work. And I am so happy to be a missionary.
Love you all
