Sorry that I couldn't write a whole lot for this week. But this is part of my reflection :)
I would say that one of the coolest things I have seen on my mission would be seeing the change that can happen in someone’s life when they accept the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the flourished land of Sha Lu I had the opportunity to teach a mother who had a lot of stress and problems in her life. The first night we met her we taught her about our loving Heavenly Father and prayer. Two days later we met again and she could see the benefits of believing in God and communicating with Him daily. That lesson she bore her testimony on the power of prayer to her husband. After teaching her the Gospel for about two months my companion and I realized that the atmosphere in her home changed very dramatically. Her home was filled with love and hope. Though her husband opposes her becoming a member she still uses the Gospel of Jesus Christ as a way of life. She feels God's love and is helping her daughter know where she can go to for help and comfort.

I have learned that this is the Lord's work, not mine, not my companion’s or even the Mission President's. I started teaching a young couple who had been looking for a church to go to for seven years. Just a few years ago they went to America and stayed at a LDS family's home for a couple of months. That family invited them to church and to walk the grounds of the temple. When they came back to Taiwan they forgot about the church that they attended in the United States. They would travel home from work on the train. Everyday they would look out of the window and see "No Success can Compensate for Failure in the Home" banner outside of the window. It is very miraculous. Sometimes they would be sleeping and at the same time they would just wake up and look out the window and see the banner. The words touched their hearts but they did not know where it came from. Then one day they were at a 7-11 and a missionary approached them. They exchanged information. Since that day they never saw the family banner again. My companion and I started meeting with them and the Gospel just made sense to them. After reading the Book of Mormon, pondering, praying and receiving a confirmation from the Holy Ghost they were converted. They are so excited to endure to the end and let their children grow up in a Gospel centered home. Through teaching them I really learned that God prepares His people to receive Him. My companion and I did nothing to convert them to the Gospel. It was all God's timing, the Holy Ghost and their open hearts.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ has changed my life. It has changed the way I view myself, God, and the world around me. I have found faith in Jesus Christ through consistent prayer and study. I have learned for myself that the Atonement is real and that we can repent to receive a forgiveness of sins. I know that Jesus is the Christ and our Savior. I have been able to see the blessings that I have received when I got baptized and received the gift of the Holy Ghost. I have been guided, directed, been taught and comforted by the Holy Ghost. I know that it is possible to endure to the end. I know that with the help of a loving Heavenly Father; His son, Jesus Christ; and messenger, the Holy Ghost, I can return to my Heavenly Home.
Love you all!
