But then Sister Crowell came and she's awesome! She is definitely helping me become the missionary that I want to be: Strictly Obedient, Humble, teaching by the Spirit, and having great Chinese. She had a Taiwanese Sister as a trainer - so her Chinese is great! And I am learning a lot from her great example.
So this move call I am focusing on listening and following promptings of the Spirit. I need to work on bringing the spirit into lessons and to everyone that I see on the street. The Spirit is the ultimate teacher and It is our responsibility to invite him and let him teach and testify to others.
This week we have done a lot of contacting. And by a lot I mean that is all we do! We have like no investigators. We only have one, Jenny. So our goal has been to find new investigators. So we set up with A LOT OF PEOPLE! I am really getting the hang of asking for numbers and setting up appointments. But you know what?? EVERY SINGLE PERSON THAT WE SET UP WITH BAILED. We are doing our best though. What more can you do?? ... Go get ice cream!! Cold Stone had a sweet deal on Saturday and since we had a bunch of appointments fail on us we thought that we deserved a little treat ;)
Funny story: So we were out tracting and Sister Crowell said, "Let's make this interesting. You have to say something with the word WATERMELON in it." Ok ... well the next door opened and the first thing that I said was, "Do you have a watermelon?" Ya...I need to work on my approach skills. Hahahaha!
Important things I need to mention:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY!! I love you to death mom! Thanks for everything that you have done for me. I sent you a birthday letter, but know that I hope to one day be as awesome as you :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHLOE!!! I hope everything is going well for you and that you got my letter :)
<------ Oh and I sent a picture.
HAPPY 6 MONTH BIRTHDAY SISTER GRAHAM! That is right! I have been on my mission for 6 months. So weird! I have changed in ways that I would have never thought would need changing. And there are a lot of things that I AM STILL WORKING ON. Some growth just takes a really long time - it's a process. Really, I read some goals that I made while I was in Arizona and guess what ...I'm still working on 'em. Progress definitely take time. And patience.
I come home at night and am completely exhausted. Like I really can't think or really do anything because of the work of the day. Sleep is so sweet and definitely needed!
Well, I love you all! :)) Till next week!
Oh read 3 Nephi 17:2-3
