Ok sorry for not emailing last week. We have been super busy!
Well, guess what! KISMET got Baptized!! It was amazing. I have seen her change so much in these past 4 months. When I first met her she was not happy at all. She hated herself, her family, God and everything. She was an English student and saw how happy the missionaries were and wanted to know why. When we met she refused to believe that it was because of the Gospel that we were happy. But as she spent more time with us and other missionaries her heart was softened and she took hope and faith. Her mother sent her to live in Taichung for a little bit. While she was there she felt lonely and she started to use prayer as a way to find faith. And then she felt it. She felt the love of God. From that time forth her faith in herself, the happiness of her family, and faith in God has increased so much. She shared a beautiful testimony after she got baptized. She shines with the light of Christ now. She loves people. She is happy. She feels the joy that God wants for all of His children. She was super-nervous before the baptism. To calm her nerves I taught her some English. Haha I thought it was funny.

We were also able to find lots of mothers this week. #mothersweek well actually Taiwanese Father's Day is coming up. One was a miraculous find. My companion and I were waiting for the other sister missionaries to call us back. We thought that we could say a prayer and contact by the McDonald's on the corner of the street. We said a prayer and saw a mother with two little boys just about to go into the McDonald's. We stopped her and introduced ourselves. She set up for the next day at our member's house! We found out that she has been looking for a church to take her kids to for a long time. She has a friend that told her that she couldn’t take her kids to church because they were too young. Her husband is never really home because of work so she is home alone. She was so happy to meet with us. Just the week before she thought that she would just give up on trying to find a church. There are lots of churches around here but it is kind of awkward just walking into a church by yourself when you don't know anyone (hey be friends with everyone and they will come to church). So she hasn't been to the ones around here. I am so excited to see these moms for the next couple of days.
Yan Xiu Zhen is still doing great. She thanked us like crazy for introducing her to the church in our last visit. She is working really hard at keeping the word of wisdom and she is still good to be baptized on 3/9! I am so excited for her too. She talked to her husband about the baptism and he does not oppose. YES!
We also met another great girl. When we introduced Joseph Smith and Prayer we asked her what she thought about the lesson. She said "I want to pray." And she came to Kismet's baptism and church that weekend :)
I spoke in church...ummm...it doesn't help that my companion is a huge crier.
I am so grateful that I have had this opportunity to serve in Taiwan. I love the people here. I have felt the Spirit daily and I have learned so much.
Sister Zhang and I are stilling working really hard. We are going to work till the very end. I love my area. I love my companion. I love the work. I love service. I love the Lord. I love you all!
Till we meet again.
