Herro my lovely family!
Monday: P-day!! Really I needed this day. Sister Liu and I told each other that we would take naps. Did that happen? NO! SHEN MA DONGXI!
Tuesday: We had a devotional with Elder Nelson which was really cool! He gave some really good advice for missionaries.
We have a Pai Dui(PARTY!) box. Every hour we take out the box and eat for 3 minutes. everyone contributes to the pai dui box. I get a lot of free candy :))) A girl's gotta have chocolate.
Wednesday: We're not the newbees anymore! It's weird being the one to say "WELCOME TO THE MTC!!' No one moved into our room. So it's just my companion and I. Soooo roomy!
Tonight the District shared their favorite scriptures and why they were their favorite. It was a really good experience - just learning about others thoughts on certain scriptures. I shared Mosiah 7. The whole chapter is absolutely amazing! Faith. Hope. Charity. And Love.
Thursday: We taught our investigator, Yang Ju, about the Holy Ghost. We definitely could've done a better job. OK I COULD'VE DONE A BETTER JOB. I was so concerned about understanding his Chinese that I think I totally ignored the Spirit. I was lost. When Sister Liu gave me the chance to talk about a scripture we shared I had no idea what to say. I'm learning.
THANKS PACKS FOR THE PACKAGE! Totally made my day! And I hope you got my letter!
Friday: SHEN MA DONGXI!!!!!! YANG JU IS OUR NEW TEACHER! It's so weird how just the day before we were teaching him. Now he is teaching us. He still refuses to speak English but that's ok. In my personal study I came across Alma 5:6. read it.
Saturday: I read "How to be a Consecrated Missionary." IT WAS THE BEST TALK EVER! EVERY MISSIONARY SHOULD READ IT. AGAIN. AGAIN. AGAIN. It changed my whole perspective about my mission. Your perspective changes when you go to the MTC. The mission becomes more real. With perspective change sometimes you need to reread things. or rethink. restudy.
Well, Sister Liu and I talked about the talk for over 2 hours. We were just going to discuss it for companionship study. But that lasted over 2 hours. It was so good to just talk with her. WE ARE THE EXACT SAME! Think of me but......ASAIN! And that's her... oh and shorter. But ya it's amazing! We were able to talk about our past mistakes, the future, boys, our goals, our fears, what is distracting for us now in the MTC etc...
Sunday: We have a new presidency! I already miss the old ones. But that's ok. I'm sure that they are going to do great.
The musical number for the Sunday Devotional was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! This cute little stinker with dimples sang Savior Redeemer. I died. I think I literally died. Oh and by little stinker...ok well he’s not little. He's one of the missionaries - but it was soooo good!
I am SO SO SO HAPPY for Lexi. I am so glad that she has that desire to come. If she needs ANYTHING just let me know. I would love to be some sort of help if I can. But really it's easy to get the hang of things around here. I saw Kimi for the last time. She was off this morning! She and I never really talked before so it was kind of weird hearing a "SIERRA!" from her with a smile to greet me. Kinda surprised. But it was so goood.

Kami, yes I do know it was Tyler's birthday! He sent me that picture of him with the birthday cake. Thought I was done thinking about boys...thanks for the reminder ;) Love you all! Sister Graham Quote of the week, "I do not believe there is one missionary whose weaknesses are greater than the potential strengths within him. Why? Because each of us is a son and daughter of God." |
