So on Monday we went to Monkey Mountain. It was so much fun! We saw a lot of monkeys and they were climbing all over us. I got to hold hands with one. When we got more to the top the monkey's disappeared. :( But I got some cool pics. The hike was super fun. I got a lot of pictures from it and the view is gorgeous and you feel like you are in real Taiwan.
Well, our investigator only has time to meet Tuesday afternoons at 3 pm. That is right after DTM. And our meeting is a 40-minute bike ride away. So every Tuesday we will be rushing from DTM to our normal chapel to meet with Yang Kai Wen. She is a mother and really interested in the Gospel. We taught her about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. She is very willing to read and pray about it. And she said that if it is true then she is very willing to be baptized! Yay!! :)) Her heart is opening and she is understanding everything. When she talks about her feelings she sounds like a member. She has a lot of experiences with God just no one to really tell them too. She is also looking for an organized religion to join. It is so cool to meet those who are prepared to accept the gospel.

We had interviews with President this week. I love seeing President and Sister Blickenstaff. We also got to see the KSL news about Elder Hampton. Everyone misses him. Sister Blickenstaff also bore her testimony about the Plan of Salvation. Her daughter was also hit by a car and killed years ago. As she was sharing I was just bawling! Isn't the Plan of Salvation a wonderful thing to know and understand? Just think - you can be with your family members forever! And if they were children they will go straight to heaven. I think of Sam and Jacob. I am really excited to see them in the afterlife.
We were able to share about the Plan of Salvation in English class on Wednesday night. Sister Snyder and I talked to a mom to see if she was interested in learning more about Eternal Families. She loves the idea of Eternal Families and the Plan of Salvation but refuses to meet. The Spirit was really strong when we were testifying and sharing. Sometimes I just want to make people understand and accept...but that is not part of God's plan. We all have free agency...even if it is annoying for other people.
We met with Eva, a new investigator. She is kind of crazy. She wants happiness but is going against God's commandments. And she knows it so she feels guilty. She wants help so she is hoping that we can help her. We found out at her house that Sister Daknis cannot drink Dong gua cha. It makes her sick. That is ok...ill drink all of it. :))

I hit my year mark on island this week. Super duper weird! I am super old...
We met with Kismet and she reminds me of Grace. She is super sad and lonely and really stressed out and doesn't really know where to turn for peace. We tried helping her understand God. She still doesn't really believe in God. But she was willing to come to church on Sunday. She liked sacrament but not the Sunday school or YW classes. She doesn't understand the Book of Mormon stories or anything. She feels like she has to prepare in order to be part of the class. I feel bad that she was uncomfortable.
I have noticed something as I have served here in Taiwan with all my heart, might, mind and strength. When I am exactly obedient and exerting all energy for my companion, members or investigators I feel like my life is more full. It is really cool how that works. I have noticed that I am able to be happier with what I have done with my life. I make a lot of memories. There is no room for sadness. There is no room for selfishness. It is a great feeling. The only hard part is keeping things that way haha.
Sister Daknis is doing great! Her Chinese is improving a ton! When I turn to her to translate sometimes she'll say, "Oh I got that part." I am so proud of her. We joke around and have a lot of fun with each other. :) We are really working hard to get the work going in San Min! Woot Woot!!
Love,
Sister Graham
