Hello everybody!
This week was crazy and super awesome! So I have three weeks left on my mission and we are low on sisters (hint: sisters go on a mission). So I have a temporary missionary until I leave. This week was Xie Jie Mei. She is awesome! She is from Taizhong. She loves swimming. She is the sweetest thing. Every morning she writes me a note and makes me breakfast. #realchinesefood
We have seen a lot of miracles together. Two that Xie Jie Mei really liked were these:
1. We were doing English proselyting and we were saying a closing prayer when a stranger came up to us and gave us four big cups of watermelon juice. "A customer bought this for you." Ah thanks! Xie Jie Mei started crying.
2. Friday night we were contacting at a parka and this lady stopped and gave us little monkey gifts and then said that she wants to meet with us before Xie Jie Mei leaves for Tai Zhong. She called us Saturday morning and told us to meet with her that afternoon at the 7-11 by our church. She gave us SO MUCH STUFF. A lot of it was just scraps to old Chinese stuff. And then she bought 100 dollars worth of food from the store for us. She doesn't want anything to do with the gospel. Sad. She is Christian and thought that as missionaries, sharing the gospel, we deserved some treats.

The two miracles that I really liked this week were:
1. Yan Jie Mei said that she wants to be baptized! She is so awesome. We invited her on Saturday. She said that she had been thinking about it for a while and she wants it. She loves coming to church. She loves the ward. She is changing so much. She told us stories of how she uses faith and repentance to be a better teacher. At first she was no able to come to church on Sunday but then she came in with her daughter. Her hair was all wet, just got out of the shower. Her daughter had an exercise class that morning and was super tired. She had a feeling that she needed to come. So she rushed over for the last two hours. I have never seen her so attentive in the lessons. She was so excited to be there. She told us that she could only stay until 4:00. Our meetings end at 4:30. She had Abby call her dad and ask him if they could stay longer. She is awesome!!!!!!! We talked about a date. But she wants to pray and ponder about how to tell her husband about it.
2. Does Kismet sound familiar? She is an old investigator. She moved to Tai Zhong for the summer. She started taking the lessons and has a baptismal date on the 23rd! Makes me so happy. She has changed So much! She now wears normal clothes. She smiles and is just happy. She has hope and knows who she relies on. She is awesome!

I would say the biggest blessing that I have had on a mission is seeing the change in people. I love seeing and hearing (after I leave) their transformation. The Gospel can help improve the quality of everybody's lives.
It was fun being with a native 24/7. I learned a lot of Chinese and a lot about the culture that I did not know before. It was really hard trying to explain what missionary work is all in Chinese and with someone who just got baptized. But her energy was way high and she was so enthusiastic to do the work. I don't know why God has let me stay here and be with 16 year old girls for the last part of my mission. But I know there is a reason. Last night Sister Xie said, "I love talking to people and sharing the gospel!" that statement make me so happy. She is planning on serving a mission when she gets older.
Love you all! Thanks for all that you do :))
