Well this week has been busy busy busy!! Wow :)) But we have seen miracle after miracle - whether it be picking 20 mangos or finding new investigators.
Today is the first P-day without Sister Hughes. She moved to DongYing which isn't that far. But we miss her because she was the life of the party. Sister Liu's new companion is Sister Hancock. She is very quite. Perfect for those two to be together. Both really quiet ... and then there is Sister Voss and I who are absolutely obnoxious!
Monday:
Oh Kami! I finally went shopping :) I thought that would be good news for you. I bought some sweet pants and a couple of nice flowy dresses that will be great for the summer :)) All the missionaries have these type of dresses - they are super comfy.
We went to a members house for FHE and I tried BoHe Cha and it was so good! It's a yummy mint drink. Kind of like what mom and I have at home! We talked about becoming more like Christ. More specifically the Christlike Attributes that are in PMG. I encourage everyone to look in PMG and find one Christlike attribute that they can work on this week. :) Pray for it and study the attribute.
Tuesday:
MIRACLE! Wang Jie Mei wants to get baptized!! She called just out of the blue and told us that she wants to be baptized. Yay! And what is even better is that she wants us sisters to teach her. So here is the thing. Sisters are supposed to teach females and Elders are supposed to teach males. But the Elders that we are working with like to steal investigators - haha! So they tried to take over teaching her but she said that she wanted us to teach her! Yay! She is planning to get baptized on June 20th with her husband.

Wednesday:
A member had us over for dinner. It was a very simple rice, pork and broccoli dish but it was really good. What was nasty was the juice. Pickled Plum juice. I would say that would be the grossest thing I have had so far.
So I almost ran into a bus today. I really wish I could take a bow and arrow and just shoot all four tires of those big honkers! Anyhoo - Sister Voss was coming up beside me on the bike to talk to me and yelled, "Hey hey guess what I was thinking!" She was looking at me and not at the rode. Well she was riding close enough that she could slip by the bus but I would have ran right into it. I had to yell back at her to move out of the way which made her almost hit another moving car. "You were thinking it would be funny to let Sister Graham run into a bus didn't you!??!?!" I yelled back. It was actually pretty funny :)
We started teaching the advanced English class at the Wu Chuan chapel. There are so many people that come and it is great! Everyone can speak some English. We talked about travel. We had everyone get into groups and come up with a planned trip to some other country. It was really cool to see what they came up with. There was this one guy who got a little carried away with what he wanted to do on this trip - but it was hilarious! And at the end of every class we have a spiritual share. We talked about God and it was really cool because there were a few people who were VERY interested, and were really surprised that God answers prayers. And then somehow we got on the topic of Capitalism. Anyhoo - I am really excited to keep on teaching this class!
Thursday:
We had a lot of lessons with the less active members in the ward. Highlights would probably be Xie Jie Mei and Gao Jie Mei. Both are really great and try their best to come to church. They are really good at reading their scriptures and praying. Gao jie mei actually shares what she learned from the week and pretty much teaches us a lesson. It's so great! And Xie Jie mei is a mother of two and loves to hear other peoples insight on scriptures. She is wonderful too!
Friday:
So you know that lady who wants money from Obama? Ya she came into the office when Sister Voss and I were in there. She would not go away! We learned to just ignore her and she would leave - but she would always come back. This time she was just talking up a storm and getting really mad. The office Elders called the police and they came to take her away. So sad - but sorry chika - we don't have your money or any big connection with Obama.
The Office couple serving there are Elder and Sister Yang. They are the best! They love to gossip which is really funny and they love to talk about themselves. K, in writing that sounds like they are bad people but they are very Christlike :)) They are old but they act like they are in their 20's. Ok, once in a while we will hear Elder Yang pull a grandpa joke and he laughs so hard ... even if it doesn't make sense. Today they let us take home roughly 15 mangos from the tree at the office! Score! It was so much fun and now we have mangoes! ... and SWAG ;)

Best night ever! We got permission to go to dinner with one of Sister Hughes's Recent Converts from her first area. Her name is Li'l Hippo and she loves the missionaries. We went to a mall to eat dinner. It was an all you can eat pizza place and it was so good! There were a billion of different types of pizza: Tai, Hotdog, seafood, breakfast (egg, ham, and bacon), Margaret and probably 8 more. And then there were a lot of different dessert kinds like red bean and mochi, banana with a giant marshmallow and chocolate, apple pie. Oh oh oh and there was endless ice cream, soup and drinks. And it all came with sides of pasta, salad, french fries and fried chicken. All for like 300 NT. I was so dang full! But it was totally worth it :) So so so good!
It was Lil Hippo's birthday so we sang Happy Birthday to her! We took a bunch of pictures and after I got a shot with just Lil Hippo and I I gave her a huge hug and kissed her on the head. She pulled back and gasped. I thought that I had offended her. But then she said that I just gave her the best birthday present ever! A kiss. Sometimes that is all that people want for their birthday. To feel loved. I absolutely love her. She is the funniest, cutest little stinker. Happy Birthday Li'l Hippo!

Saturday:
We had a lesson with Wang Jie Mei, the one who is supposed to be baptized next week. Well, turns out that she can't be baptized. The elders told us that she had been to church enough times but she really hasn't. So she can't get baptized for a little while longer. Really Church attendance is very important and I feel like if they dont realize that early on they will fall away. It is totally worth the sacrifice to come. The hard part for her is that she runs a hot pot store with her husband and she is open on Sundays. But we will keep on talking to her and see if we can help her out with that situation. I love visiting with her though! I love seeing her family! It reminds me that we are all sons and daughters on God. Whether we speak Chinese or English - we are all one big family :))
We scared Elder Hamula and Sister Hancock so bad! Just by jumping out and booing at them. SOOOO FUNNY!!! Watch out for Sister Voss and Sister Graham! We are the scare queens!
Sunday:
Miracle! Someone came into church, stayed for all three hours, enjoyed it and wants to learn more. She is an older lady and her name is Zhang Jie mei. When we talked to her about how she liked church she immediately asked where she could get a copy of the Book of Mormon. Well honey, we have plenty of those!
We had our weekly meeting with Alexis and Wei Jie Mei. We gave Wei Jie Mei an English name: Josie. Totally fits her :) Amanda came with us. She talked about scripture reading. And told Josie that if you don't like reading the scriptures because they are boring, then go to the sister missionaries because they make it fun! That's right we make them fun! Sister Voss is the queen of making things fun!
"If it isn't fun then you aren't doing it right." That's right sister Voss! That can be the quote for life right there!
Love you all!
