Hello Dear Family and Friends! What a wonderful world to be in! This week ended really fast.
Some big news: Elder Booth (MTC Australian) is the new AP. Elder Fleming (MTC 14 piece pizza eater) is our new Zone Leader. Sister Daknis passed off Lesson two in Chinese! What did we do to celebrate? Eat Xue Hua Bing. #duh
Zheng Momo is doing great. She reads the Book of Mormon daily. Wants to be baptized on June 25th. We pray that she can make it. Because of work it is really hard for her to come to church.
Yang Kai Wen is also doing well. We recently taught her the importance of daily prayer, scripture reading and coming to church. After the lesson, she texted us and asked if we could meet with her friend. Of Course!

Kismet is having a really hard time. Her mom is sending her up to Taipei to "mature". She is having a hard time feeling mother's love.
Yan Xiu Zhen is awesome. She reads and understands the Book of Mormon stories. We’re still helping her understand Jesus Christ and his Atonement. She is so open minded and willing to do what we invite her to do.
We met with a part member family on Saturday with the elders. It was really good. The dad is a very active member. Wife and the daughters are not members. We got to know them and shared a short message. They are down for having us come over weekly! We will make food with them and then share a message. Deal.
We got fanged a lot this week. In Chinese they say, "They dropped our pigeons" meaning "stood us up." A lot of people agree to meet with us. We set up a time and place and then...they disappear. Free Agency...I am working hard at being patient.

Sister Daknis and I went on a great adventure on Monday. Ok, we planned to go to the lake, but like everything else here in Taiwan, it was closed. Why is everything fun closed on fun day? I don't get it. Oh and did I mention that a member gave me a selfie stick...I’ve been having a lot of fun with that. So we found a little park/swamp like thing outside of the lake park. So we took pictures. We also tried this yummy Japanese drink shop. They have flavored Boba. I can't read the flavors but they are really good with MILK. (People think we are crazy when we go to a teashop and ask for just plain milk).
I am the new English Leader and the first training meeting was on Wednesday. Successful. We started some new things. A proselyting table and counting how many people we at least tried to add a time to meet with them. We normally report on how many people we actually get to say yes to meet with the missionaries. But to help this number increase we have started keeping everyone accountable with how many people we talk to after English class. It works!
After dinner on Friday we biked across the street from a 7-11 and started talking to a lady who was waiting for her friend. While I was talking with her a guy came up to Sister Daknis and tried to talk to her. Sister Daknis could not understand so we kind of switched places. Girls are so much easier to understand in Chinese. Sister Daknis taught the lady about prayer and got her information. That was her first time contacting all by herself! So proud!!! The guy who came up to us has been to church before and loved it. He wants to come again! Later that night we were on our way home. There is a bread shop just outside of our house. I looked at my watch when we passed the bread shop. Still had 15 minutes and so we swung across the street to the bread shop to talk to a lady who was on her phone. She was scared by us and left. And then a family came out from the bread shop. They were one of those families that are willing to talk and talk and talk but wants nothing to do with the church. As I was explaining the English program to this family a girl came up to Sister Daknis and asked if she had any tracts (fliers) and info about the church. She wants to change her life style. Set up for the next day. I wish that we could say more about this lady...but she never showed up. Called her and she said. "Never mind." Dang it! But the random guy came to a baptism on Saturday! I love attending Baptisms. The Spirit is always so strong. This was a great opportunity to introduce him to the elders. This baptism was for a 14 year-old girl in the other ward.

Four investigators came to church on Sunday. Sharon, her situation is still the same. Biggest concern is what to do with school. Can't get baptized because her dad won't let her. Spring came. We invited her and she came up with a lot of excuses not to come, but she said that as she prayed God told her that she had to come to church today ad well as two new ladies that the elders met this past week. It was an AMAZING Sabbath Meeting. I learned A LOT!
-God will answer our prayers. And it will probably be an inconvenient answer, but it will be the right answer.
We met with Spring after church. She came up to us with a WoW question, but later found that she really does not feel her true divine value. She doesn't get the attention or feel the love from her husband like she wants to so she goes to temporal pleasures and is very confused as to why she is not happy. The elders and a member gave her a priesthood blessing. We re gave her a BOM because she threw her old one out. Looks like she is staying around.
Funny quotes:
Out contacting and ran into a lady who started her own religion, "I got an email from God!!!"
A couple of days ago we went into the elevator and the elders were already in there. They saw us come in and then left to take the stairs. So I asked President if it was ok to be in the elevator with elders. "Yes you can be in the same elevator with the elders. And you can talk to them too! :)" -President
Hope ya'll have a wonderful rest of the week. Serve others and be happy :)))
